Professor Vass, acting president of World Society of Breast Health from Hungary paid a two-day visit at TMUCIH from March 20th to 21st , 2006. Along with him was Ms Katalin Matray, secretary of World Society of Breast Health.

Leaders of TMUCIH, President Xishan Hao, and Deputy Director Ying Wang greeted them and made a productive discussion on the general issue of the 4th Congress of the World Society for Breast Health and the Biennial Meeting of the 6th Asian Breast Cancer Society.

During their stay in the TMUCIH, they paid a visit at Breast Cancer Department and the Cancer Research Institute., and Prof. Vass delivered a speech on Breast cancer screening in Hungary and role of a complex radio-cyto-histopathology unit in the screening process, which attracted many doctors and researchers to come.

Mayor of Tianjin, Junfang Zhang granted the guests an audience. And Professor Vass was awarded as the Honorary Professor of Tianjin Medical University by President Xishan Hao.

The visit will enhance the better understanding and coordination between WSBH and its local organization. This fundamental step will provide a more convenient forum for information exchange between the two sides.
