The first Steering Committee Meeting of Tissue Banking Facility(TBF) of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital was held on 14th Oct. 2005 in Beijing. The TBF was formally established in 2003 and jointed supported by TMUCIH and the National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR). The steering committee which composed of professors from The , , , was set up to guide the operation of the facility. Dr.Wang Ying, Deputy Director of TBF delivered a report to the committee. All the members of the committees commented that TBF of TMUCIH made impressive progress during last year. Accordingly, suggestions also given on the quality controls, facility management, regulation establishment, resource utilization, and high quality web-based database establishment. The steering committee was held successfully and played an important role in promoting TBF of TMUCIH to keep the pace with international standard.
