Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital provide medical examination for hundreds of female rural ¨Cworker

On February 8, 2007, under the banner of ¡°Tianjin isn¡¯t your hometown, but your home.¡±, Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital, (TMUCIH), assisted by Community Service Office, offered free medical examination for hundreds of female rural-workers of children-bearing age being babysitters, cleaner, rag-picker scavenger and even the unemployed.

The free medical examination benefited female rural workers who were engaged in trying to offer their service for the public without giving a thought of their own health. TMUCIH gave the opportunity for them to have the undetected deceases treated in time. The fact that government was paying close attention on the floating population was reflected from the free medical examination which strengthened the communication between the workers and the society.
