There are 30 beds for inpatients and an accessory treatment room for outpatients in the department, with 1 chief physician, 2 deputy chief physicians, 2 attending physicians, 1 doctoral adviser, 1 postgraduate's tutor, 3 physiologists and 4 physician with master’s degree. Every year more than 500 inpatients with various tumors were received for medical treatment and several scientific research projects granted by national or provincial support were undertaken in the department. Now it is the biotherapeutic application research base of Chinese Biological Medicine Technology Association.

In the department, the biotherapeutic methods are combined with conventional chemotherapy for cancer treatment, thus significantly improve the efficiency of cancer treatment.
