The out-patient and emergency department was established in April 1997. There are 11 doctors, including 2 associate chief physicians, 2 attending physicians and 7 interns on rotary probation that come from various departments of head and neck, craniocerebral, chest, abdomen, pelvic and urinary oncology, etc. This department handles the routine affairs of clinical out-patient and emergency work in the hospital. The doctors in the emergency department are on duty 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
The patients with a variety of emergency cases, such as acute bleeding, digestive tract obstruction, hepatic coma, superior Vena Cava Syndrome, and spinal cord compression, etc. are treated here. The department is open to the public with a high quality service.
There is a first-aid room, an observation ward, and an injection room for chemical therapy in the out-patient and emergency department.
