There are 47 beds in No. 2 department of chemotherapy, and staffs are composed of 2 vice-chief doctors, 1 attending physician and 3 residents, among them 3 have master’s degree in medicine. Every year over 600 outpatients and 900 inpatients are treated in the department.

Areas of expertise in the department include the treatment of breast cancer, malignant lymphoma and lung cancer. With extensive adoption of advanced experience from at home and abroad, the department has its distinguishing features in personalized chemotherapy.

The staffs of department take the lead in promoting WHO’s three-ladder programme on clinical management of cancer pains, and distinguishes itself by standarizing pain relief therapy, especially non-invasive pain relief therapy. It sets up the normalized clinic-community network for patients suffering from cancer pain, thus boasting the leader in clinical management of advanced cancers in the country.
