The Department of Epidemiology was founded in 1977. The Tianjin Cancer Registry and Report Center (TCRRC), founded in 1978, is headquartered in this department. TCRRS is a member of and has been in close collaboration with the International Association of Cancer Registries (IACR). Some of the landmark data of TCRRC are presented in the volume?, ?, ?,and ? of the book series of ‘Cancer Incidence in Five Continents’ published by IARC Total of 9 researchers are working in the department and we have appointed a visiting professor from the University of Toronto, Canada.
