The Oncology Central Laboratory was established as one of the key laboratories in Tianjin Medical University 211 project. The laboratory is equipped with advanced equipment including Flow cytometer, real-time PCR machine, HPLC, ELISA reader, spectrophotometer, two-dimensional gel electrophoresis system, and imaging systems. The Central Laboratory provides technical supports to a wide range of research projects in the areas of cell proliferation, apoptosis, protein isolation and purification, gene expression and genotyping.

The Central Laboratory is also a base for graduate students and postgraduate research and clinical fellows. In each year, approximately 30 students and fellows utilize the Central Laboratory for research projects.
