Dr. Zhang is the professor of the Medical College of Nankai University, the academic adviser to the postgraduate course in Tianjin Medical University, the member of the Specialists’ Committee and of Academic Degree Committee in Tianjin Medical University School of Clinic Oncology, the board chairman of Tianjin Anticancer Association, the director of Chinese Anticancer Association, the director of Cancer Research Foundation, the associate director of the Professional Committee of Esophageal Cancer and Lung Cancer, Chinese Anticancer Association and the instructor of the Committee, the associate director of Tianjin Cardiovascular Surgery College

Publications

He is one of the editors of many works, including Encyclopaedia, Thoracic Oncology, Oncology, Esophageal Plasty and The Diagnosis and Treatment for Esophageal Cancer. He is also the chief editor of Mediastinal Oncology. He has published more than 200 papers. Dr. Zhang still gives lectures each year in the national training class on oncology, held by Ministry of Public Health. His students are working all around the country.
