On March 6th, Prof. Paolo Boffetta, coordinator of International Agency for Research on Cancer of World Health Organization, Dr. Qingyi Wei from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and some experts from Chinese Academy of Sciences paid an academic visit to Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital (TMUCIH). Dr. Ying Wang and Dr. Ming Gao, Vice Presidents of TMUCIH received the guests along with some chief directors of Lung Cancer Center, Head & Neck Department, Epidemiology Department, Radiology Department and Pathology Department. Prof. Boffetta has been devoted to the research on Genetics and Epidemiology for many years. The doctors made an introduction of Lung Cancer Center and Head & Neck Department of our Hospital to the visitors, who also carried on an animated discussion regarding the issues they are interested in with our chief directors. Later, accompanied by Dr. Wang, Vice President, the guests visited Lung Cancer Center, Head & Neck Department and Tissue Bank and fully recognized the development scale of our hospital. Both sides considered that this visit enhanced the mutual understanding and laid a good foundation for developing further cooperation.
