On March 8th -10th ,2010, A delegation led by Prof. Daniel M. Sullivan, Associate Center Director and Executive Vice President for Clinical Investigations of H.LEE Moffitt Cancer Center including Prof. Michael Benedict, Vice President for basic and clinical research finance; Mrs. Catie Wiernasz, Director of Clinical Trials Office and nursing program and Prof. Sheng Wei, Associate Member of Department of Immunology paid a friendly visit to Tianjin Medical University Cancer and discuss cooperative issues.

During their visit in our hospital, Prof. Ping Wang, Prof. Ying Wang and other vice presients and some directors of major departments extended warmly welcome to the guests and made a introduction of our hospital, institute and clinical trail to them. The guests also took this opportunity to make a highlight presentations on Clinical Investigation, research infrastructure and nursing research of Moffitt Cancer Center and attract so many surgoens nurses and faculties. The two parties talked on questions of common interests at an active academic atmosphere.

Accompained by the director of office of international exchange & cooperation, the guests visited the main clinical departments and Tianjin cancer institute and was impressed by our hospital’s development scale and overall strength. Through in-depth discussion, the two parties made a further consensus on the collaborating porjects in the area of clinical investigations, nurse and physicians training program, joint clinical trails, etc, and identified the next batch of physicians and nurses to be dispatched to Moffitt Cancer Center.

This is a successful and fruitful visit for both parties. This time, Prof. Daniel M. Sullivan was appointed as visiting professorship of Tianjin Medical University. We believe, this visit will further consolidate our brotherhood institutionship between our two institutions. We will continue to work together to advance the cancer research and contribute to reach the collective success and bring benefit to cancer patients worldwide.
